Facilitator: Mario Acosta, Marzano Research

Mario Acosta is principal at Hernandez Middle School in Texas. Mario has also served in public education as a teacher, coach, and campus administrator at both the middle and high school levels. He was previously an associate principal at LBJ Early College High School and an assistant principal at Round Rock High School, both in Texas.

"Mario gave an outstanding presentation at the Marzano Research High Reliability Schools Summit in July 2016, sharing numerous examples of school improvement practices implemented in his district. Some were quick and easy and some more elaborate, but all were highly impressive, impactful, and applicable to school improvement initiatives across the NESC." Erin Lacina, NESC Project Director

These webinars align with Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the Marzano Research High Reliability Schools framework and can assist schools in moving forward with HRS implementation. Lagging indicators will be shared for each level.

Schools not involved in the NESC's High Reliability Schools Academy over the past two years can also benefit from this workshop and can easily apply strategies/procedures/examples learned to school improvement initiatives.
